Constable, Precinct 2

Constables are the first link in the county's chain of law enforcement. Along with their deputies, constables have all the enforcement powers of Texas peace officers. They are sometimes referred to as the executive officer of the justice of the peace courts. Their duties are to subpoena witnesses; act as bailiff; execute judgments; and service of process. In addition, they may perform patrol functions and make criminal investigations. They are involved in the overall effort to reduce the effects of crime in their communities, including in some cases the operation of truancy programs.

Mission Statement

The Guadalupe County Pct. 2 Constable's Office strives to be proactive in the prevention of crime. We maintain a professional attitude that helps us in the active service of civil papers and Justice Court protection. We also understand that our residents expect visibility around our schools and within our neighborhoods.

  • Constable Precinct 2 Launches Residential Vacation Watch Program

Since taking office on January 1, 2013 I have wanted to provide a residential vacation watch program for the residents of my precinct. Numerous families have approached me about this service and how important it was to them and how good of an idea it was for the community. Your Constable’s Office has continued to come up with new ideas and innovative approaches to law enforcement and I feel that this is one way we can give back to the citizens of Precinct 2. This program gives us the opportunity to have extra patrols in areas where families are away on vacation and would like to have their home patrolled. I try to place deputies within the residential areas and especially around the schools. That has become even more important in today’s environment. This is just another way of supporting the hard working families that continue to make this community and Guadalupe County an exceptional place to live.
