The duties of the Environmental Health Department is to permit and regulate on-site sewage facilities, development within the special flood hazard areas, subdivision plats, and the enforcement of public nuisance violations in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Guadalupe County is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for residents, and we ask for your help in keeping our communities clean and free of litter. Community clean-up days may be provided up to four times a year to allow residents to properly dispose of waste and bulky items.

  • Federal Emergency Management Agency's Preliminary Revised Flood Insurance Rate Map and Flood Insurance Study Report

    The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has presented Guadalupe County with preliminary revised copies of the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) Report cover letter dated May 18, 2022 for Guadalupe County, Texas and incorporated areas (click above link to view). The revised FIS Report describes the flood hazard information updates made and the source information used. FEMA only revised those FIRM panels with updated flood hazard information. The revised preliminary FIRM panels can be viewed and/or downloaded from the FEMA Portal or hard copies can be viewed in the Environmental Health Office.
