Detention Officer

Details: The Guadalupe County Adult
Detention Center is currently accepting applications for the position of Detention
Officer. Must have a High School Diploma or GED and have no criminal
record. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Preferably some jail experience and you
must have a current Texas driver’s license. This position is Grade 17-L
Step 1 at $14.82 per hour for Uncertified and Grade 19-L Step 1 at $16.02
for Certified. Any transfer request by an employee of a higher pay group
will be considered as a request for a demotion, and therefore a reduction
in pay unless specifically approved by the commissioners’ court on a case
by case basis.

Details: The Guadalupe County
Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center is currently accepting
applications for the position of Cook. Must have a High School
Diploma or GED and have no criminal record. Prospective employee
must have prior cooking experience. This position is Grade 11
Step 1 at $13.20 per hour.

Shop Foreman
Department: Road and Bridge Department

Details: The Guadalupe County Road
and Bridge Department is currently accepting applications for the
position of Mechanic Shop Foreman.
This position is classified at Pay Group 21. Starting salary will be
$19.06. Any transfer requests by an employee of a higher pay group will
be considered as a request for demotion, and therefore, a reduction in
pay unless specifically approved by Commissioner’s Court on a case by
case basis.
